SFADI, the Seattle Festival of Alternative Dance & Improvisation, has a new name! We're now SFDI, the Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation. Pronounce it the same old way (SFAHDEE) if you want, it's the same fabulous festival.
Important changes this year: Festival registration and opening is on Sunday at the Erickson Theatre. Classes start Monday morning at 9 am.

CONTEMPLATIVE DANCE PRACTICE
Daily . 7:30–8:30am (except Thursday and Sunday)
Erickson Classroom
A three-part form: sitting meditation; personal warm-up;
open movement space.
Free and open to the public.
THE UNDERSCORE: A Talk & A Practice
Talk: Tuesday 2 - 3 pm. (Required for participation in Underscore practice, unless you’ve done it before.)
Practice: Thursday 7 - 10:30 pm. A jamming/Contact/improvisation score that guides us through warmup, Contact & group improvisation, rest & reflection.
The Tuesday Talk will give some background and outline the score's structure, followed Thursday night with the practice. Facilitated by Nancy Stark Smith, with silence and live music by Mike Vargas.

- Latecomers will not be admitted to classes
- No drop-ins to Intensive classes
- Single classes $25 on a space-available basis; no advance sign-up for single classes
- All classes and events are wheelchair-accessible
REGISTRATION
You will receive e-mail confirmation of your registration, containing important information and updates. If you do not receive confirmation within one month of sending your registration or by July 22, please contact us.
HOUSING
We'll assist you with finding housing for a nonrefundable $15 finders' fee; we must have your housing request by 7/11/08. Apply on registration form.
