As part of its 16th annual summer dance event, the Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation (SFDI) presents Off the Cuff, two evenings of innovative performance with leading improvisational dance artists from around the world. Off the Cuff is the only chance each year to see these world-renowned artists gather under one roof in the Northwest. Space is limited; schedule subject to change.

Slated to perform are some of the shiniest stars of the improvisational dance world: Maureen Freehill; Margit Galanter; Alicia Grayson; Cyrus Khambatta; Aiko Kinoshita; Benoit Lachambre; Daniel Lepkoff; Nita Little; Tonya Lockyer; Jack Magai; Karen Schaffman; Susan Schell; Stephanie Skura; Gretchen Spiro; Brad Stoller; and Alia Swersky.

The Friday 9pm and Saturday 7pm shows feature dance works by SFDI students from around the world.

These concerts are part of the 16th annual SFDI (Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation), August 2-9, a world-renowned dance festival offering master classes with internationally-recognized faculty, public performances, jams, and more. 17 dance artists from around the world and the state converge upon Seattle to teach and perform a wide variety of improvisational dance techniques.

SFDI is produced by DAG (Dance Art Group), which is supported in part by 4Culture and the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
